The completed Work will provide the Owner with a new primary sludge pumping system at the Salmon Creek Treatment Plant. The Work generally includes the following: replace eight primary sludge pumps and associated piping, electrical, and controls, install new adjustable frequency drives for each primary sludge pump, install an electromagnetic flowmeter and microwave density meter, extend plant drain to Primary Clarifier 3 and 4, and replace two air compressors with two new smaller air compressors. The Board of Sewer Commissioners reserves the right to waive informalities in the bidding, accept a proposal of the lowest responsible bidder, reject any or all bids, republish the call for bids, revise or cancel the work, or require the work to be done in another way if the best interest of the District is served. Award of contract is not anticipated to occur prior to February 20, 2024. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the District.
