Bid submission info : When submitting an electronic bid, the bid must be submitted in "pdf" format and shall contain the same information and forms as required for the paper bids. Electronic bids must be secured with a bid bond. When submitting a bid electronically, the authorized signature shall be an electronic signature or handwritten in blue-ink signature. In the event that an electronically submitted bid has a corrupted attachment, the bid will be considered null and void. When bids are submitted electronically, the requirement for including a certificate of responsibility, or a statement that the bid enclosed does not exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00), on the exterior of the bid envelope shall be deemed in compliance by including the same information as an attachment with the electronic bid submittal. Electronic bids shall be submitted at electronically. Sealed bids shall be marked "SEALED BID FOR GREENE COUNTY RURAL EVENTS CENTER ROOF REPAIRS" and submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to Greene County Board of Supervisors. Sealed bids may be delivered by mail or hand delivered. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of Certified Check, Cashier's Check or acceptable Bid Bond, Payable to Greene County Board of Supervisors, in amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the base bid; such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who may be awarded the contract but who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute the contract and post-performance bond in the form and amount within the time specified. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the notice date and time for submittal will not be considered but will be returned to the bidder unopened. All bids submitted in excess of $50,000.00 by a prime or subcontractor to do any erection, building, construction, repair, maintenance or related work, must comply with Section 31-3-21, Mississippi Code of 1972, by having a current Certificate of Responsibility from the State Board of Public Contractors. The current Certificate of Responsibility Number shall be indicated on the exterior of the sealed bid envelope before it can be opened. If the bid is not in excess of $50,000, "THIS BID SHALL NOT EXCEED $50,000", shall be indicated on the sealed bid envelope before it can be opened. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for a period of Sixty (60) days. The Greene County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids on any or all projects and to waive informalities.
