The work is described generally as removing asphalt concrete and striping, modifying existing curbs and sidewalks to furnish and install curb ramps, furnishing and installing new striping and signage, and installing rectangular rapid flashing beacon assemblies (RRFBs) at the intersections of Golf Course Drive and Hacienda Circle and Golf Course Drive and Halcyon Place. The Contractor must have a valid California contractor's license, a Class A license. The Engineer's estimate for this project is $190,000. The Contractor must begin work within fifteen (15) calendar days after official notice by the City Engineer to proceed with the work and must diligently prosecute the same to completion within 180 calendar days of that Notice. Per California Civil Code Section 9550, a payment bond in the amount of 100% of the bid total will be required from the successful bidder for bids exceeding $25,000. The bond must be provided within 15 calendar days from notice of award and prior to the performance of any work. A performance bond and bid bond must also be provided for bids exceeding $25,000. The City of Rohnert Park makes no representation or warranty of the condition of the jobsite. All prospective bidders are requested to carefully review the plans and specifications and to examine and conduct tests or otherwise satisfy themselves as to the conditions at the project site, subject to coordination with the office of the Rohnert Park City Engineer. The City reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects in bidding not involving time, price or quality of the work. The City may reject any and all bids and waive any minor irregularity in the bids.
