ILDOT - 111 - New Construction on IL 158 The project consists of the design and construction of a new multiple span bridge carrying the extension of IL-158 over a tributary to Loop Creek in St. Clair County, Illinois. The general site area is shown on the attached Vicinity Map, Figure 1 in Appendix A. A plan that shows the approximate locations of the borings performed for this study is presented as the Site and Boring Location Plan, Figure 2 in Appendix A. The tributary to Loop Creek is oriented roughly east and west beneath the proposed bridge structure, and flows in a western direction. The project area is currently utilized as either cultivated fields or pastures. The abutment approach areas are understood to be within an existing floodplain. It is our understanding that the new structure will be a five-span bridge using integral abutments.
