General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Contractors License Required - Insurance Required - License Required. Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % -- If required, bid security approved by the City must accompany the bid, in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the bid. Bid security can be in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, or a bid bond from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of South Carolina. If required, the successful bidder shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount of 100% of the contract price.
