The Colorado Department of Natural Resources (DNR), on behalf of the Division of Parks and Wildlife (Colorado Parks and Wildlife; CPW) is soliciting Letters of Interest (LOI) from qualified Contractors interested in providing Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) services for a dam rehabilitation construction project (Project) at Meadow Creek Dam (Dam). The Dam is located approximately 35 road miles north of New Castle, Colorado, within the White River National Forest. CPW owns and operates the Dam for recreational and fisheries purposes. Access to dam is on narrow, gravel forest service roads and drive time to the Dam from Rifle or New Castle is approximately 1-hour and 30-minutes. Although the Dam is owned by CPW, it is located on Federal Forest Service land with sensitive cultural resources in close proximity to the Dam. Therefore, minimizing construction impacts to surrounding land is vital to the success of the Project. LOIs are required to be emailed, and must be received by the DNR Purchasing Lead no later than December 26, 2023 at 5:00 PM (MST) at jeanette.stroud@state.co.us.
