In accordance with R.S. 3 8:2212(D), deposits on the firstset of documents furnished to bona fide prime bidders will be fully refunded upon return ofthe documents; deposits on any additional sets will be refunded less the actual costs of reproduction. Refunds will be made upon return of the documents in good condition within ten days after receipt of bids. A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held for this project. Please send any questions you have to the Engineer. Provisions for liquidated damages, if any, are set forth in the Agreement. Each bid shall be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check or acceptable Bid Bond payable to Ouachita Parish Police Jury in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount as a guarantee that, ifawarded the Contract, the Bidderwill promptly enter into a contract and execute such bonds as may be required. Each bid shall also be accompanied by a Corporate Resolution or written evidence ofthe authority of the person signing the bid for the public work as prescribed by LA R.S. 38:2212(B)(5). The successful bidder mustsubmit executed copies ofthe Non-Collusion Declaration, Attestation Clause, and E-Verify Affidavit within ten (10) days ofthe bid opening. These items may be submitted with the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond for the full amount ofthe Contract in accordance with Article 5 ofthe General Conditions. In addition, the successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the Contract in accordance with Article 5 ofthe General Conditions. Estimated Probable Construction Cost: $225,000 The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, as provided for in LA R.S. 3 8:2214(B). Purchases forthis project shall be exempt from state sales and use tax according to La. R.S. 47:301 (8)(c)(i). The successful bidder shall be granted the tax-exempt status ofthe Ouachita Parish Police Jury via Form R1020, Designation of Construction Contractor as Agent of a Government Entity Sales Tax Exemption Certificate.
