Whitcomb Cafeterias HVAC Improvements Project. Location 1LT Charles W. Whitcomb School, 25 Union St. Scope includes but not limited to upgrading the school's existing mechanical system which serves two cafeterias. Project includes removal and replacement of two rooftop units, selective demolition and replacement of interior ceilings, structural modifications, electrical considerations, roofing and all associated and necessary equipment, materials and labor to complete the Work. The mechanical upgrades and related work associated with this bid/contract is scheduled for the City's 2024 school summer recess, and the systems complete and operational for the beginning of the '24 school year. 2. The work is estimated to cost $1,231,200.00 with a schedule of 185 days. 3. The City of Marlborough seeks to fund this project through federal grants made available by ESSER III. Contract award is subject to approval of grant funding and approval of the utilization of grant expenditures for this purpose and/or appropriation. Approved construction projects must comply with applicable Uniform Guidance requirements, as well as the Department of Education's regulations regarding construction at 34 CFR 76.600. 4. Any resulting construction contract must meet Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements. All bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 26 to 27H inclusive.
