Contractors are invited to submit sealed bids for the City of Olmos Park Sanitary Sewer Bond Project Phase D. The project bid package consists of a Base Bid and two Add Alternate Bids. The Base Bid scope of work includes pipe bursting of 1878 LF of lined 6-inch to 8-inch pipe, replacing 63 LF of lined 6-inch sewer pipe by open cut, reconnect 24 sewer laterals, remove, and replace 9 manholes, rehabilitate 10 manholes, install 1 cleanout, abandon 263 LF of lined 6" sanitary sewer pipe, 3-point repairs by open cut, and site restorations. The Add Alternate 1 scope of work includes pipe bursting of 234 LF of lined 6-inch to 8-inch pipe, replacing 35 LF of lined 6-inch sewer pipe by open cut, remove and replace 3 manhole structure, rehabilitate 1 manhole structure, reconnect 3 sewer laterals, and site restoration. The Add Alternate 2 scope of work includes installing 415 LF 6" PVC sanitary sewer pipe by open cut, installing 5 cleanouts, installing 1 manhole, and site restoration. Written questions may be submitted by email to wassom@givlerengineering.com and martinez@givlerengineering.com to until 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023. Each bid must be accompanied by an acceptable bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Bids must be submitted in the bid form furnished. No bid may be withdrawn for 45 days after the above scheduled closing time set for the receipt of bids. The Notice to Proceed will be issued at a Pre-Construction meeting with the selected contractor within 1 week after the bid is awarded. Contractor will have 21 days to begin work from the Notice to Proceed date, with 120 days for Substantial Completion and 15 additional days for Final Completion. An additional 7 calendar days for each add alternate acceptance. The City of Olmos Park reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any formalities, and to select the bid deemed in the best interest of the City.
