The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Sacramento District (SPK) anticipates solicitation of a requirement for design-bid-build (DBB) construction services to be performed in support of the U.S. Forest Service to construct a new Visitor's Center for Lake Isabella. The project will include construction of a new building of approximately 1,500 square feet. The building will include an area for the public with a handicap accessible single restroom, and an additional restroom, office areas, storage, and kitchenette for employees. A communications room, mechanical room, and electrical room will all be accessible from the exterior of the building. The previous building has been demolished, but additional demolition to remove concrete will be required. A new parking lot will be constructed with parking for 18 personal vehicles, 2 electric vehicles (with charging stations) and 6 recreational vehicles. The scope includes significant landscaping requirements, including planting, irrigation, and erosion control. The Government anticipates construction work will begin in October 2024 and the period of performance is 365 days.
