Project Number - 23.BPL.029, 10102-3023101 The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: Removal of built up roofing membranes, roofing insulation and roofing flashings down to the structural deck; provision of replacement insulated modified bitumen roofing system (vapor barrier, insulation, tapered insulation, deck board and multiple ply modified bitumen roofing systems) and flashings. Removal of EPDM roofing systems, roofing insulation and flashings down to the structural deck; provision of replacement roofing system per above. Removal of fluid applied roofing at exterior canopies provision of replacement fluid applied fleece reinforced roofing system. Perform all associated work such as disconnection, removal, reinstallation, and reconnection of existing rooftop mechanical units and skylights on replacement roof rails/curbs so as to achieve minimum 8 inch high base flashing. Work shall be in compliance with all applicable codes. All low slope roofing systems shall be removed and replaced. Refer to the drawings and project manual (specifications) for more information. Bid responses must be accompanied by a bid bond made payable to the Cobb County School District, in the amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid price. (Certified Checks Not Acceptable.) The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond acceptable to the Cobb County School District in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract price and executed by a Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the Department of the Treasury Circular 570, latest edition. The Surety Company shall have an A.M. Best Company minimum rating of "A-" with a financial size of VII "7" or better. Bonds must be accompanied by a letter stating the bonding company's current rating for verification before acceptance by the Owner and execution of the formal Owner/Contractor agreement. Bonding of Subcontractors: Include in the Base Bid, Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds, each in 100% of the subcontract sum, for each Subcontractor having a contract of $50,000.00 or more for Roofing, HVAC, Plumbing, Sprinkler System and Electrical Work as required by the General Conditions. Cobb County School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities. .
