The Project includes the construction of a new single story, indoor aquatic center consisting of a lap pool, recreation pool, and wellness pool. Construction of the building's shell includes concrete foundations, precast concrete wall panels, structural steel, steel joists, steel decking, EPDM roofing system, and glazed aluminum curtain wall. Work also includes demolition, polished concrete floors, cold-formed metal framing, joint sealants, doors, aluminum storefront, gypsum board, tile, acoustical ceilings, resinous flooring, carpeting, painting, high performance coatings, pools, pool equipment, fire suppression, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, controls, earthwork, concrete paving, asphalt paving, landscaping, water service, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer Each successful bidder shall be required to furnish payment and performance bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of its contract price. Said bonds to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City Council and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and shall guarantee the prompt payment of all material and labor, and protect and save harmless the City from claims and damages of any kind caused by the operations of the contract and shall also guarantee the maintenance of the improvement in good repair for a period of one (1) year from and after the substantial completion and acceptance by the City. After award and approval of contract and performance bond, work on this contract shall substantially completed no later than October 15, 2025. The City does hereby reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City.
