As of January 5, 2024 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on January 16, 2024. The project is an improvement to an existing senior center. The current senior center is to remain fully operational during construction. The work includes the following: Demolition, removal, and disposal of the existing accessible ramp. Remove and dispose of existing planters. Install a new concrete sidewalk ramp according to ADA. Shall be completed in the forms provided as per Instructions to Bidders and accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier s Check, or a Bid Bond executed in favor of the City of Brawley in an amount of ten percent of the bid, to be forfeited as fixed and liquidated damages should bidder neglect or refuse to enter into a contract. Pursuant to California Civil Code Section 9550, the successful bidder shall, before commencement of work, furnish a payment bond to and approved by the Owner, if the public works contract exceeds twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. The successful Bidder shall also provide a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount.. Liquidated Damages of $500.00 per calendar day are included in this project. The work to be performed consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required by the plans, specifications, and contract documents.
