The Contractor shall furnish all labor, superintendence, materials, plant power, light, heat, fuel, water, tools, appliances, equipment, supplies, and means of construction necessary for proper performance and completion of the Work. The Contractor shall obtain and pay for all necessary local building permits. The Contractor shall perform and complete the work in the manner best calculated to promote rapid construction consistent with safety of life and property and to the satisfaction of the Engineer, and in strict accordance with the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall clean up the Work and maintain it during and after construction, until accepted, and shall do all Work and pay all costs incidental thereto. He shall repair or restore all structures and property that may be damaged or disturbed during performance of the Work. The City of Edgewater is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the Rehabilitation of Lift Station #11, located at 991 Wildwood Blvd, (Latitude / Longitude: 28.985546, -80.922844). The project includes removal of the existing pumps, lift station piping, and valve vault as well as lining of the existing wet well, installation of two (2) submersible pumps, valve vault, electrical, control panel, underground electric and a diesel-driven emergency bypass pump. Deadline for Questions: December 14, 2023, 2:00pm Addendum Due: December 28, 2023, 4:30pm a Bid bond, certified funds or an irrevocable letter of credit in a sum equal to the amount of five percent (5%) of the total proposal price. Alternately a, cashier's check, cash bond can be posted with the City Clerk Performance and Payment Bonds: Bonds are required to be recorded by the Proposer prior to submitting it to the City. The recorded Bonds shall be submitted to the City Clerks office within 15 days of award of the contract by Proposers receiving award and written for 100% of the Contract award amount, the cost borne by the Proposer receiving an award. The Contractor agrees to commence work within Thirty (30) days after the date of the Notice to Proceed letter and shall complete the work within One Hundred Twenty (120) days to Substantial Completion, one hundred Fifty (150) days to total Completion consecutive calendar days thereafter. The Engineer's Estimate is $559,900.
