Project has been Cancelled The Lee County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) desires to obtain services from skilled and qualified Vendor to provide labor and materials as required for the repair of various types of chain link fencing, top railing, posts and gates on Lee County property that sustained damage due to Hurricane Ian. There will be no Pre-Bid Conference for this solicitation. It has been determined that the specifications and scope of work within this solicitation are adequate to describe the product or services being requested. A pre-bid conference and site visit has not been scheduled for this solicitation. Willie Dennard wdennard@leegov.com Responsive and Responsible: Only bids received from responsive and responsible bidders will be considered. The County reserves the right before recommending any award to inspect the facilities and organization; or to take any other necessary action, such as background checks, to determine ability to perform is satisfactory, and reserves the right to reject submission packages where evidence submitted, or investigation and evaluation indicates an inability for the bidder to perform. Bid Bond/Security: The Procurement Management Department shall determine if a Bid Bond shall be required for any Competitive Procurement. Each Bidder shall submit not less than five percent (5%) of the proposed dollar amount (including applicable Alternates) as Bid Bond/Security. A Certified Check or a Cashier's Check in the stated dollar amount of not less than 5% of proposed dollar amount. Any Certified Check or Cashier Check submitted in lieu of a Bid Bond Shall be drawn on a solvent bank or trust company, made payable to Lee County Board of County Commissioners and shall have all necessary documentary revenue stamps attached. Payment and Performance Bond: In accordance with F.S. 255.05 and Lee County Ordinance 22-06, a Public Payment and Performance Bond is to be issued in a sum equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the total awarded contract amount by a surety company considered satisfactory by Lee County and otherwise authorized to transact business in the State of Florida shall be required from the successful bidder/vendor. INSURANCE (AS APPLICABLE) Insurance shall be provided by the awarded bidder/vendor. Prior to execution of the Agreement/Contract a certificate of insurance (COI) complying with the bid documents shall be provided by the bidder/vendor. Insurance carriers providing coverage required herein shall be licensed to conduct business in the State of Florida and shall possess a current A.M. Best's Financial Strength Rating of "B or better."
