It is the intent of the City of Hamilton, Hamilton Water, Plant Maintenance & Technical Services Section, to obtain the services of qualified Industrial Mechanic Millwrights to work intermittently on an "as required" basis, at various water and wastewater (sewage and/or leachate) treatment facilities and outstations (reservoirs, towers, wells and pumping stations). This Work could include but is not limited to general day to day breakdown work orders and occasionally emergency call-ins, all at the discretion of the City's Mechanical Supervisor, or designate. The Successful Bidder shall perform the Work as required when, where and as directed by the City's Mechanical Supervisor, or designate, in accordance with the terms of this contract. All operations will be performed with the promptness, efficiency and in a manner satisfactory to the City's Mechanical Supervisor or designate. All Work shall be planned, scheduled and coordinated with the City's Mechanical Supervisor, or designate. The Successful Bidder will not proceed with any Work on behalf of the City without proper authorization from the City's Mechanical Supervisor or designate.
