The work consists of removing and disposing of existing bathroom stall partitions and installing all new bathroom stall partitions in 54 stalls total campus-wide to include partitions for 18 stalls in 6 bathrooms in the elementary school,18 stalls in 6 bathrooms in the middle school, 18 stalls in 8 bathrooms in the high school. It is the contractor's responsibility to obtain all measurements and proper fit of said partitions. Partitions should be commercial-grade stainless steel with graffiti-resistant surface. Satin finish as well as upgraded textured finish options (if available) should be included in the bid. All hardware, mounting brackets, and tamper-resistant fasteners should be included. Retrofitting will be required to mount properly to studs and existing wall structure. Descriptive literature fully describing the proposed product should be included. Failure to do so may be cause for rejection of the bid. The use of a named product is an attempt to set a particular standard of quality and type familiar to the district. Such references are not intended to be restrictive. The district shall decide if a product does in fact, meet or exceed the quality of the specifications listed in the bid literature. In all specifications where a material or article is defined by describing a proprietary product or by using the name of a vendor or manufacturer, it can be assumed that an equal can be substituted with prior district approval. Work is expected to be completed during the months of June, July, and August of 2024 and/or on Fridays and weekends during the 2023-2024 school year to minimize disruptions to students. Bids must include the anticipated project commencement date and anticipated project timeline. The district is willing to take delivery of and store project materials for up to two weeks until installation can occur. A bidder pre-inspection and Q&A session will be held at 10:00 a.m. (Mountain Time), December 15, 2023, at 1 Yellowstone Trail, Whitehall, MT 59759. Bids must be accompanied by a bidder's bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid, as defined by state law. No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least thirty (30) days after the scheduled time of bid receipt. The successful bidder will furnish an approved Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract. The Contractor shall comply with all fair labor practices and must meet the requirements of all local, state, and federal statutes, including prevailing wage and hiring preferences. Each bidder and Contractor is required to have a current and valid Montana Contractor's Registration and Montana Contractor's License, as applicable, in the proper classification for the work bid, and such registration and license must remain valid throughout the period of the contract. Whitehall Public Schools reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive any and/or all informalities or technicalities, and to act in the best interest of the Whitehall Public Schools.
