Summary of Work: The work consists of cleaning and sealing the Balboa Park parking lot. The bidder is specifically advised that the bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified cashier s check or a bid bond from a reliable surety company licensed to operate in the State of Texas totaling five percent (5%) of the greatest amount bid, as a guaranty that if awarded the bid, the successful contractor will enter into a contract with the City of McAllen. The successful contractor shall furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract sum, within ten (10) working days from letter of award of contract and upon the forms which are attached hereto. This project is being funded, in part, by Community Development Block Grant funds and is subject to the following Federal requirements: Executive Order 11246; Clause 3 of the HUD Act of 1968; Title IV of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968; and Section 109 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts as well as State laws and regulations.
