The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for the City of Moorhead is seeking quotes from qualified individuals or firms to provide snow and ice removal services at various private residential lots, as assigned by the City. Agreement period will run for the months, November 2023 through May 31 2024, with an option to renew for the 2024-2025 winter season. In the event of unsatisfactory performance, or when in the best interest of the City, the City reserves the right to terminate the Agreement. 1. Snow & Ice Removal Standards Snow removal will be conducted at 10-15 residential properties. Snow and Ice removal will include 1) public sidewalk abutting home; 2) driveway; and 3) one walkway to a door. Contractor must provide snow removal services within 48 hours of a significant snowfall. Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, and equipment to safely and properly clear snow and ice from residential properties to include by the City. Chemicals shall not be used unless written approval has been granted by the City. Snow and ice may not be deposited or blown into the street, neighboring property, or in a place that will interfere with the vision of motorists approaching any intersection. Other than from adjacent sidewalks and driveways, no snow shall be placed upon the boulevards.
