The intent of this contract is to replace three (3) overhead garage doors on the building located at 69 NE Heron Ave, Warrenton, OR 97146. The following is a brief summary of the major elements of Work that are to be provided by the Contractor. Remove three (3) existing overhead garage doors and dispose of legally offsite. Provide and install one (1) 12'x14' tempered, non-insulated glass door with black aluminum frame, in the style of HÖRMANN 750A, Provide and install two (2) 12'x12' insulated black aluminum doors with one (1) row of DSB glass each, in the style of HÖRMANN 440U Provide and install one (1) compatible automatic door lift system. Provide and install two (2) compatible chain hoist systems. Project Substantial Completion shall be 21 days after notice to proceed and Project Final Completion shall be 30 days after notice to proceed. No pre-bid meeting will be held. Questions regarding the project during the bid period shall be submitted to Esther Moberg, Urban Renewal Director, via phone at 971.286.2017 or email at emoberg@warrentonoregon.us. It is recommended that the potential contractor visit the site prior to bidding. The building is available for inspection with an appointment. Any bids received after the above specified time will not be considered. The carrier, including the United States Postal Service, is considered an agent of the bidder. The contract is subject to Prevailing Wage Statute ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870. The contract is NOT subject to federal prevailing wage rates under the Davis-Bacon Act (40 U.S.C. 3141 et seq). Bond Accompanying Bid: All bids shall be accompanied by a guarantee equal to at least five percent (5%) of the bid amount. This guarantee may be in the form of a bond, certified check or cashier's check. Bid bonds will be accompanied by a power of attorney bearing the same date as the bond. The contractor shall furnish a payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price for the protection of claimants under ORS 279C.600. Prior to submission of its bid, bidder shall be registered with the Oregon Construction Contractor's Board as required by ORS 701.055, and thereafter comply with the requirements of ORS 701.035 to 701.055. Bidders shall be qualified in accordance with the applicable parts of ORS 279C in order to submit a bid for public works in Oregon.
