Requests for information can be submitted by email Qualified firms or individuals desiring to provide construction services to the City of Bradenton should submit one (1) original and one (1) copy of their submittal in a sealed opaque envelope or box, and reference City of Bradenton NW Ward 5 Water Main Improvement Project, and the words Bid Documents must be clearly indicated on the outside of envelope or box. Submittals must be physically received by the City prior to 10:00 am (local time) on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the exact address below, at which time they will be opened publicly and reviewed for completion. No submittals will be accepted after the time and date set for receipt The Work is generally described as construction of approximately 3900 linear feet of 8-inch PVC water main by open cut method, including valves, fittings, fire hydrants, new water services to existing meters, trench asphalt pavement removal and replacement, abandonment of existing water mains, disinfection, testing, and other appurtenances and materials; and sidewalk and curbing removal and replacement, as required for a complete and operable system as accepted by the Owner as outlined in the Bid Form. All work shall be in accordance with the construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. A Bid must be accompanied a Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5 percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price and in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid Bond (on the form attached) issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraphs 5.01 and 5.02 of the General Conditions. 1. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, superintendence, materials, power, light, heat, fuel, water, tools, appliances, equipment, supplies, and means of construction necessary for proper performance and completion of the Work. The Contractor shall obtain and pay for all necessary local building permits. 2. The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work in the manner best calculated to promote rapid construction consistent with safety of life and property and to the satisfaction of the Engineer and in strict accordance with the Contract Documents. 3. The Contractor shall clean up the Work and maintain the Work site, stockpile site and construction trailer site during and after construction, until project final completion and shall do all Work and pay all costs incidental thereto. He shall repair or restore all structures and property that may be damaged or disturbed during performance of the Work. 4. The cost of incidental work described in these Project Requirements for which there are no specific Contract Items shall be considered as part of the general cost of doing the Work and shall be included in the prices for the various Contract Items. No additional payment will be made therefore. 5. The Contractor shall provide and maintain such modern tools, and equipment as may be necessary, in the opinion of the Engineer, to perform in a satisfactory and acceptable manner all the Work required by this Contract. Only equipment of established reputation and proven efficiency shall be used. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for the adequacy of his workmanship, materials, and equipment, prior approval of the Engineer notwithstanding
