HVAC System Upgrades for the Sadsbury Township Building Bids will have a tentative award date of December 5, 2023, at a regularly scheduled Board of Supervisor's meeting beginning at 7:00 P.M. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates and Federal Guidelines for confined space entry will apply to this project, in addition to any and all other applicable federal, state, and local laws, statutes, ordinances, rules and regulations. The project consists of upgrades to the HVAC systems in the Sadsbury Township building at 2920 Lincoln Highway, Sadsburyville, PA. The existing HVAC equipment, consisting of gas furnaces with split system air conditioning, is to be replaced. In the process, air treatment upgrades to the HVAC systems are to be implemented as well as modifications to address some temperature control difficulties in the office area. The Mechanical HVAC contractor shall be the prime contractor and shall be responsible to coordinate all electrical work as required to accommodate the new equipment as part of this bid. Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid made payable to the order of Sadsbury Township. Each bid must be accompanied by a signed commitment of the proposed surety offering to execute a Performance Bond, as well as the Letter of Intent, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause, and Statement of Bidder's Qualifications. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Contractor's Performance Bond and a Labor and Materialmen's Bond, in such form and having as security thereon, such surety company or companies as are approved by the Sadsbury Township Solicitor, in an amount of not less than the total of the accepted bid. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish a Maintenance Bond, in such form and having as security thereon, such surety company or companies as are approved by the Sadsbury Township Solicitor, in an amount of not less than fifteen (15) percent of the total construction cost. The Bond Company in all cases should have no less than an "A" rating (Best Rating) and provide documentation of their authority to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In addition, the Bond should be provided without a Reinsurer. All Forms and Papers required to accompany the bid must be up-loaded to electronically prior to the date and time bids are to be received. All original Forms and Papers required must be submitted to Sadsbury Township, Attention: Linda Shank, Township Secretary, 2920 Lincoln Highway, Sadsburyville, PA 19369, within seven (7) calendar days of the bid date. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within ninety (90) days after the date set for the receiving and opening of bids. Sadsbury Township reserves the right to accept any or all bids or parts thereof, or to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, for any cause whatsoever, and to waive informalities in the bidding as they deem for the best interest of the Township. Bids will have a tentative award date of Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at a regularly scheduled Board of Supervisor’s meeting beginning at 7:00 P.M
