The work to be done consists of constructing three 250,000-gal. water storage tanks on three different sites: Hornitos, Red Cloud, and Woodland. A valid Class A, General Engineering Contractor is required for this project. The Base Bid is for the tanks at Hornitos and Red Cloud. The Engineers Estimate is $2.25 million. The tank at Woodland is an add alternate dependent on funding. There is no pre-bid meeting. Bid security in the amount of ten (10) percent of the amount of the bid, and in the form of a bid bond issued by an admitted surety insurer licensed by the California Department of Insurance, cash, cashier's check or certified check shall accompany the bid. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. There is a DBE goal of 10%. Project is subject to Buy America.
