The Atlantic Science Enterprise Centre (ASEC) is to be a world-class research facilty which will provide federal scientists and partners with state-of-the-art space and equipment to collaborate on research opportunities, and to conserve and protect Canada's coastal ecosystems and environments. The ASEC will bring together multi-departmental research activities under one roof, make aquatic science more accessible, promote ocean and freshwater literacy, promote community engagement and help train the next generation of Science. This tender package is part of the Enabling Works required to facilitate construction of the new ASEC facility. Specifically this package is for the Shoring and Excavation portion of Enabling Works. Bids over $500,000.00 shall be accompanied by a bid security for 10% of the bid amount, either in the form of a bid bond from an approved surety company or a letter of credit from an approved financial institution. The bid bond shall be on the CCDC 220-2002 form, or any other equivalent acceptable form. The designated beneficiary should be Pomerleau Inc., Construction Manager. General liability for a global limit of at least $10,000,000. Pomerleau Inc. and Public Work and Government Services Canada shall be added as Additional Insureds.
