It is the intent of these specifications to enter into a one (1) year term contract beginning January 1, 2024 for liquid sodium hypochlorite (bleach). Deliveries shall be made "as required" upon an order release from the requesting departments/divisions. It is the intent of the City of Kalamazoo Public Services Department - Water Reclamation Plant to enter a one-year term contract to purchase 12% minimum by volume of NaSO4 liquid sodium hypochlorite (bleach) on an as-needed order release basis. The material must meet the requirements and specifications of NSF APPROVED IN ACCORDANCE WITH AWWA/NSF STANDARD #60. It is estimated that 455,000 gallons bulk liquid will be required per year. This quantity is not intended as a guarantee of maximum or minimum amount to be purchased under this contract; actual purchases may be more or less subject to need and availability of funding. Delivery will be in 4,500 gallons for a total of 101 deliveries a year.
