The First Place of Rest Fencing Project installs automotive security fencing and gates at the newly established automotive storage location on Terminal 4 at the Port of Vancouver. Work includes providing all materials, labor and equipment for the installation of the new automotive fence, demolition of existing fencing and post hole repair as necessary. Pavement marking for the First Place of Rest will be completed under a separate contract. The engineer's estimate for the First Place of Rest Fencing Project is $157,350 - $174,000. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 10/26/2023 12:00 PM The project shall be substantially completed by December 31, 2023. The following project will be accomplished as a SMALL WORKS PROJECT and will be subject to prevailing wage laws. All quotations must be submitted on this form. This is not an order - these are quote documents. Please read all information on the instruction page before preparing quotation. All bidders must meet the requirements of the Small Works Roster prior to award. Apparent low bidders must meet the requirement of the Small Works Contract (attached) within 10 days of the quote opening. Work in this project is within of the security area requiring Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC). See the Security Requirements Section in the Special Provisions for additional information. Bid Bond including Power of Attorney for Surety's Agent to Execute Bond. The bid bond, or acceptable form is to be executed by the bidder and a surety company licensed to do business in Washington, unless the bid is accompanied by a cashier's check. No such bid bond will be required where a cashier's check is submitted in lieu of a bond. The amount of the bond or cashier's check shall be not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid and may be shown in dollars or on a percentage basis. If a surety company form is submitted, please attach the form to the Bid Documents submitted. Failure to comply with this provision will render the bid non-responsive and therefore void. This shall be executed by the successful bidder and a surety company, licensed to do business the State of Washington, on the required Port of Vancouver form within, within ten (10) days after the award date. Pursuant to RCW 39.08.010, the contractor may, in lieu of a performance and payment bond, choose to have ten (10) percent in retainage withheld during the course of the contract if the project cost is less than $150,000
