The project scope consists of conducting environmental studies and preparing environmental documentation under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), assessing the feasibility of daylighting Schoolhouse Creek, conducting community engagement, and preparing conceptual and preliminary designs for the restoration of shoreline habitats and associated trails in North Basin Strip and adaptation strategies for Berkeley Meadow within MESP and adjacent Marina Boulevard. Subtidal restoration planning efforts in the North Basin (open water and nearshore) are underway and the project team will need to coordinate with the ongoing work of the Regionally Advancing Living Shorelines project (Living Shorelines Project) led by the San Francisco Estuary Institute and other regional partners. General scope of work includes, but is not limited to: Feasibility Studies Public Outreach and Engagement Conceptual and Preliminary Designs CEQA compliance documents The District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or portions thereof, to accept a proposal or portion thereof, and to waive any informality. Potential consultants are strongly encouraged to review the preliminary documents provided by the District. The Park District reserves the right to request, receive, and evaluate supplemental information and clarifications during its evaluation of Proposals, and the Park District will conduct this process in a fair and impartial manner. The Park District reserves the right to waive and disregard any minor irregularities in any response. The Park District reserves the right to cancel in part or in whole or amend this RFP or to extend the date responses are due.
