SCOPE: In general, the work under this project consists of asphaltic milling, HMA pavement, culvert removal, new concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer construction, water main replacement, water services, sanitary sewer rehabilitation, sidewalk replacement, erosion control, restoration, and all incidental items necessary to complete the work as show non the plans and included in the proposal and contract. The centerline length of the project is approximately 0.6 miles. This is a Local Roads Improvement Program (LRIP) funded project. PROJECT COMPLETION: All work under this Contract shall be completed by October 1,2024. Liquidated damages for failure to complete the work in accordance with the date(s) set forth above shall be Two Thousand One Hundred Eighty-Five dollars ($2,185.00) for each calendar day in excess thereof. BID SECURITY: Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid price, payable to Walworth County, Wisconsin, as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the proper contract documents within fifteen (15) days after notification of award of the contract. In case the successful bidder fails to execute such contract documents, the bid bond shall be forfeited to Walworth County as liquidated damages. QUALIFICATIONS: Bidders shall be experienced in this type of work and shall be prequalified with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for work in the class and amount of their bid. BID WITHDRAWAL: No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the scheduled opening of bids. Bids may be withdrawn only in total and only by a written request to Walworth County Purchasing, Department of Public Works, prior to the time and date of the scheduled bid deadline. BID ACCEPTANCE - REJECTION: Walworth County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, received in response to this advertisement, to waive any irregularities in bidding, or to accept any bid they deem most advantageous to the County.
