The Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners is seeking sealed bids from qualified persons, companies or corporations interested in providing construction services for the following project: Spooner Road SCOP. The project will include the widening and resurfacing of Spooner Road from SR 267(Pat Thomas Parkway) to Old Federal Road. Also included will be drainage improvements, to accommodate widening the roadway, and signage and striping improvements. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive any technicalities or irregularities therein. The County further reserves the right to award the agreement to that bidder whose bid best complies with the specifications. Bidders may withdraw their bid by notifying the County in writing at any time prior to the deadline for bid submittal. After the deadline, the bid will constitute an irrevocable offer for a period of sixty (60) days. Once opened, bids become a record of the County and will not be returned to the bidders. EEO/AA Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $200.00 per day. The completion date for this project will be 120 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder. The Bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder.
