The Town of Black Mountain invites qualified and experienced firms or individuals to submit their qualifications for Feasibility Master Planning Services for five undeveloped parcels within Town limits. These parcels have been generously donated to the Town, presenting a unique opportunity to envision and shape their future use in a manner that aligns with the aspirations and needs of our residents. This request for qualifications (RFQ) seeks professionals with expertise in urban planning, community engagement, sustainability, and financial analysis to collaborate with Town Council, Town staff and residents in developing a plan for these properties. The selected firm will not only assess the feasibility of development, but also engage the community in shaping the vision for these parcels, by determining the combination of uses to be tested in the feasibility efforts and ensuring that the resulting Master Plan reflects the values, goals, and preferences of our diverse and vibrant town. Responses to Questions October 26, 2023 The Town of Black Mountain reserves the right to reject any "Statement of Qualifications". The "Statement of Qualifications" shall be prepared at the sole expense of the consultants. All proposals shall be subject to public review and copying as a public record. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
