Description of Work 1. The contractor shall supply graders with attachments (wing and pusher blade). The loaders shall have two-way plow blades. 2. The hourly rates as outlined on the Form of Quotation shall be in effect from November 1, 2023 to April 30, 2024. 3. The contractor will be required to work on a "call as needed" basis only. The contractor will be required to have equipment and operator ready when they are called out. There will be no standby compensation and the hourly rate shall be deemed to be inclusive of any type of standby expenses the contractor will or may incur. The rate as provided shall also include operator, fuel, insurance, maintenance and any other expenses to keep the equipment operational. 4. All equipment must be furnished with the proper snow tires prior to commencement of the works. A grader or loader without the proper snow tires will not be accepted. Graders with a push blade and a wing may be given preference over equipment without these attachments. 5. The City will unilaterally determine areas of work, and the work will be assigned based on the type of equipment and the operator experience of the Contractor. 6. The period of work will be from November 1, 2023 to April 30, 2024. 7. The City reserves the right to choose all or any combination of quotations received that serves the best interest of the City of Kenora. The lowest or any quotation not necessarily accepted. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities and formalities therein, and to award the quotation bid in the best interest of the City of Kenora. All quotations received become the property of the City of Kenora and as such are subject to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
