The Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners will receive sealed bids from properly licensed and insured contractors for the demolition and construction of a concrete boat ramp located on Woodlawn Beach Road. The site is the Woodlawn Beach Boat Ramp located at 1422 Woodlawn Beach Rd, Gulf Breeze, Florida. At the time of drilling the site was cleared. The existing concrete boat ramp is located on a fairly narrow landmass which extends out into the sound and was cracked and appeared to have damage from undermining. We understand that the project consists of replacement of the existing boat ramp at the site with a new roughly 84 feet long and 17 feet wide concrete ramp. From provided information the concrete ramp is planned to be reinforced with #4 rebar @10" spacing O.C.E.W. The concrete ramp is planned to be turned down 2.5 feet on the perimeter. We understand that the 7-inch-thick concrete ramp is planned to be placed on top of a 12-inch thick stone base. A sheet pile wall is planned to be installed to construct the concrete ramp in the dry. Based on provided information the top of the ramp is planned to be at roughly elevation +3.5 feet and the bottom at roughly -1 feet. We assumed that the sheet pile wall may be embedded up to 15-20 feet below the mudline.
