SOURCES SYNOPSIS/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) THIS NOTICE IS FOR SOURCES ONLY. THE U.S. ARMY ENGINEER DISTRICT, NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA This announcement is seeking information from industry, which will be used for preliminary planning purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this , and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. THIS NOTICE IS FOR SOURCES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR INVITATION FOR . SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS ARE NOT . The tracking number for this announcement is W912P8-24-SS-0002. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Construction. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District is issuing a Sources synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and experience with heavy construction activities for the upcoming construction of the SELA 72.2 General De Gaulle Drive Canal Phase-2 contract which constitutes a portions of the Algiers Subbasin Plan. The purpose of this Sources synopsis is to gauge interest, capabilities, and qualifications of the construction community, as the Government must ensure there is adequate interest, capability, and competition amongst the potential pool of responsible contractors. After review of the responses to this Sources synopsis, and if the Government to proceed with an acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published in the BETA/SAM.com. No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a or solicitation. There is no or solicitation at this time. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. Description of the Project The SELA 72.2 contract includes the following work: widening the existing General De Gaulle Canal to a 45-foot wide by 5-foot high flume with a 1:4 earthen slope to top of bank for approximately 1300 linear feet from the Magellan Canal to the Algiers Outfall Canal; a new subsurface 36-inch by 58-inch drainage concrete arch pipe will be constructed along Sandra Street/Pace Boulevard extending from the General De Gaulle Canal approximately 1,100 linear feet; a new subsurface 36-inch by 58-inch drainage concrete arch pipe will be constructed along Indiana Street extending from the General De Gaulle canal approximately 900 linear feet. Other associated work will also include relocations of utility lines (water and sewerage) across the project area and developing a comprehensive traffic control which will be approved by New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) and Louisiana Department of Transportation (LADOT). The Estimated of construction is between $25,000,000.00 and $45,000,000.00. The Firm's response to this Sources Synopsis shall be to five (5) pages and shall include the following information: The Firm's name, address, point of contact, phone number, website, and address. The Firm's interest in bidding on the solicitation as a Invitation for Proposal (IFB). The Firm's capability to perform such heavy construction methodology. The Firms shall provide examples which include, at a minimum, the following information: a. Provide a brief description of the previous which include: Experience in construction of drainage/channel improvement . Are those in an Urban Environment Experience in and execution of Temporary Restraining System (TRS) systems. Contract type, firm fixed price or cost reimbursable Customer name Timeliness of Customer satisfaction Project awarded cost and final completed construction cost.
