Furnish and Install Influent Channel Sewage Grinder for the Hockanum River Water Pollution Control Facility Question Submission Deadline: October 24, 2023, 4:00pm This specification is to replace the existing JWC influent channel sewage grinder at the Hockanum River WPCF located at 120 Thrall Road, Manchester, Connecticut and shall be done in accordance with these Technical Specifications. All labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required for the installation of an in-line sewage grinder shall be furnished as shown on the contract drawings and as specified herein. Proposers shall submit all inquiries regarding this RFP via the Town's e-Procurement Portal. Please note any deadline for submitting inquiries. Question Deadline 10/24/2023 at 4:00 PM ET The equipment shall be warranted to be free from defects in design, workmanship, and materials for a period of five (5) years. If any part of the equipment should fail during the warranty period, it shall be replaced and restored to service at no expense to the owner. 100% parts and labor, including wear parts. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive technical defects, and to make such awards including accepting a proposal, although not the lowest cost, as it deems in its sole discretion to be in the best interest of the Town. The Town reserves the right to reject any proposal if the proposer, any officer of the proposer, or any other company owned in whole or in part by any officer(s) of the proposer, is delinquent in the payment of any taxes or fees owed to the Town. The Town reserves the right to require a disclosure statement from the proposer listing the name(s) of all officers of the company. Estimated project value based on recent quotes is $100,000. Included are the grinder, drive unit assembly, auger assembly, control panel, anchorage system, and all appurtenances. Equipment shall be designed and selected for continuous duty grinding of concentrated solids derived from the municipal wastewater industry. Grinders shall be suitable for grinding small particles of wood, industrial solvents, greases, detergents, rags, hair, wipes, and organic particles. When installing in the channel, the grinder shall have mounting rails for easy removal for service and repair. Disassembly, removal, and disposal of existing JWC Influent Channel Grinder Assembly must be included in proposal.
