Scope of Work 1. Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) on a weekly and on-call, as needed basis all labor, trash bins, equipment, disposal fees, and to pay all associated costs, fees, and taxes necessary to provide trash, hauling, and disposal services as described herein: 2. Subcontracting is not permitted under this Agreement. All references to subcontracting or subcontractors as found herein are not applicable to this Agreement. 3. The services shall be performed at the Indio Maintenance Station, 83997 Indio Boulevard, Indio, CA 92201. 4. Any reference to Caltrans Contact Manager shall also include designee. 5. This Agreement will commence on December 1, 2023 (estimate), or upon approval by the Department of General Services (DGS), whichever is later, and no work shall begin before that time. This Agreement is of no effect unless approved by DGS. Contractor shall not receive payment for work performed prior to the approval of the Agreement and/or before receipt of notice to proceed by Caltrans Contract Manager. Questions regarding this IFB must be submitted in writing by October 24, 2023. Bidders are encouraged to submit their written questions via e-mail to sean.grant@dot.ca.gov. Verified DVBE Participation - 100% DVBE Incentive Amount - 5% Caltrans reserves the right to reject all bids for reasonable cause.
