The Contractor will provide winter maintenance services at four locations (see Attachment 1 for aerial views of the service areas). Winter maintenance services will include snow plowing, blowing, and/or shoveling; furnishing and applying de-icing products; and pushing or hauling accumulated snow (snowbanks) from the site. 1) Detroit Operations and Service Center (DOSC), 1060 West Fort Street, Detroit. 2) Metro Region Office, 18101 West Nine Mile Road, Southfield. 3) Fort Street Bascule Bridge parking lot and sidewalk, 10520 West Fort Street, Detroit. 4) Bagley Pedestrian Bridge, proximity of 1624 21st Street, Detroit. Note: The Contractor will not be required to clear the entire plaza on the east side (21st Street) of the bridge or clear the entire wide of the bridge. A 6' to 8' path (handicap accessible) must be cleared from the northwest corner of 21st Street and Bagley Street to the W. Fisher Service Drive. The stairway and handicap ramp at W. Fisher Service Drive will be included. Deadline for bidders to submit questions about this RFP : 12:00 p.m. Eastern October 20, 2023 Bidder questions about this RFP must be emailed to the Solicitation Manager at TholeR@michigan.gov No pre-proposal meeting will be held. This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for: Snow and ice removal services for MDOT facilities - Detroit Operations and Service Center, Metro Region Office, Fort Street Bascule Bridge, and Bagley Pedestrian Bridge - located in or near Metro Detroit area.
