The City of Rock Hill, South Carolina is seeking competitive bids from qualified companies to provide and install new flooring and cove base at the Glencairn Garden Learning Center. Question Deadline 11/01/2023 at 4:00 PM ET Flooring and Cove Base Installation Requirements Remove and dispose of existing cove base. Remove existing glue on walls. Remove toilets. Save for re-install. Scarify existing flooring. Install LG Hausys Pike's Peak Tile (6373-Acrux color) Luxury Vinyl Tile Glue down using Mapei Eco-399 4G Heavy Duty Pressure Sensitive Multi-flooring Adhesive Install John CB-40 4" x 4' 1/8" BX Vinyl Black cove base Attach to walls using Powerhold 5500 CTG Cove Base Adhesive Reset toilets with new flanges. Contract Term This contract term will not exceed 30 days from the date of execution. The contractor will be subject to a $200.00 per day fine for non-completion at the end of the contract term. Acts of God will be taken into consideration before fines are enforced. The liquidated damages are not a penalty but are for damages resulting to City since the actual damages would be difficult or impossible to ascertain. Time is of the essence. Warranty Any work deemed by the City to be not satisfactory should be properly redone at the contractor's expense. Workmanship shall be free of defects for a period of one year from the final inspection. If a workmanship problem is found during the contract period because of poor workmanship, the contractor will be responsible to make necessary repairs at the contractor's expense. Any manufacturer's warranties must be transferred to the City upon completion. Insurance The Company agrees that the Company shall keep and maintain general automobile liability insurance for $1,000,000 per occurrence for each vehicle and $1,000,000 in aggregate for all vehicles which the Company brings onto City property or use in any manner in the provision of services, including transportation to and from the site(s) where the services are rendered; and the Company further agrees that the Company shall maintain general liability insurance for at least $2,000,000 per incident/occurrence and $2,000,000 in aggregate for all incidents/occurrence during the policy period, and the Company agrees that the Company shall maintain Workers' Compensation Insurance on all of the Company's employees. In no event shall the Company serve as a self-insurer for the purpose of Workers' Compensation Insurance.
