The Alpine DWID reserves the right to select the bid that best suits the Alpine DWID's needs. 1. Purpose and Background. Alpine Domestic Water Improvement District (ADWID) was awarded a Grant of $250,000 from the Water Conservation Grant Fund for the replacement of our direct read meters with radio read meters. We are looking for a metering system that utilizes drive-by technology for the collection of meter read data, or uses existing cell service (Verizon) for data collection. The RFP needs to include the cost for 550 5/8 -3/4 meters plus any set up fees, support and training costs, any needed computer hardware or software, and antennas if used. Annual fees need to be included in the RFP. The meters must be able to transmit data through snow/ice, or dirt and mud. ADWID encourages women owned or minority owned or veteran owned businesses to propose. 1. Performance Schedule. This is a one - time purchase initially of 550 meters. ADWID will need continued support of the meters and the required computer program. Additional meters will be required in the future. ADWID will use our crew to replace the meters.
