DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required in the Plans, Specifications and Contract documents for said project. The work will take place in the City of Lawndale. The scope of work consists of removal and replacement of existing damaged signs; removal and replacement of existing old and rusty signposts and footings; traffic control, and all appurtenant work. The contractor shall dispose of the removal material to a legal dump site. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. COMPLETION OF WORK: All work to be done under this contract shall be completed within one hundred eighty-five (185) consecutive calendar days, exclusive of maintenance periods, beginning on the date stipulated in the written Notice to Proceed to be issued by the Engineer. The questions shall be submitted in writing no later than Wednesday, November 8th, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. for response in advance of bid date The words FY 2023/24 CITYWIDE SIGN REPLACEMENT PROJECT shall appear on the envelope of each sealed bid, and each sealed envelope shall be addressed to the City Clerk, City Hall, and Lawndale, California.
