The Citys system study was completed in 2017. The Study identified the need to start replacing water mains. Staff has identified water mains that have experienced a high number of main breaks and is including those projects in the CIP. The mains identified are being included in the current CIP to address short term needs. As the Street and sewer studies are completed, staff will use the information provided by all of the studies to identify a comprehensive CIP to create a replacement schedule that takes all of the infrastructure needs into consideration. The water main in NW 78th Street is undersized and has experienced a large number of breaks. Replace 2,600 LF of 6 cast/ductile water main with 8 PVC water main. NOTE: $10,000 for survey prior to Jan 1, 2025. Funds include $600,000 for water and $300,000 for street replacement. Due to timing, water funds will be used to replace streets. This project will be constructed in 2026 and combined with the NW 80th Street Water Main Replacement Project Fiscal year 2023-2027 *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
