Reference Number 0000257669 Question Acceptance Deadline Oct 30, 2023 02:00 PM EDT Pricing Lump sum The Scope of This Project is to Replace Existing Dry Type Distribution Transformers Located Throughout the Building. These Transformers Are Presently Located on the B2 and B1 Basement Levels, Church Basement and Ground Floors and the Penthouse Elevator Machine Room. Transformer Replacement Includes New Transformers, Primary and Secondary Feeders From Source and Load, Modifications to Existing Distribution Including Supply of New Feeder Breakers, and Other Associated Work. Routing of Feeders Requires Temporary Removal of Existing Mechanical Ductwork and Reinstallation, Cutting of Existing Building Structure and Fire Stopping All Openings. All Cutting and Coring to Be Performed Under the Direction of the Engineer. The New Installation Shall Be Code-compliant and Include All Seismic Mount Requirements. Work to Be Performed in an Occupied Building and Shall Be Implemented to Minimize Disruption to Building Occupants. Schedule Work for Off Hours and Provide All Temporary Measures to Maintain Building Operations During Removals, New Work, and Cutovers. As Indicated in the 2018 Secondary Transformers Condition Study, (Goc990400) the Replacement of the Transformers Would 1) Reduce the Risk of Transformer Failure From the Facility; 2) Address Current Code Violation Regarding Their Location; 3) Remove the Risk of Injuries to Individuals Present in the Room Should a Transformer Fail; 4) Correct Grounding and Cable Connections to the Transformers. The Transformers Have Been in Use Since 1986 and Have Reached the End of Their Life Cycle, Which for Electrical Equipment is Approximately 25 Years.
