Sealed bids for the demolition and construction of Raw Water Intake Valves No. 3 & 4 Replacement Raw Water Tower No. 2 at the Nicholasville Water Treatment Plant, including replacement of 10" pump control valves and piping located on the steel platform and electrical upgrades and together with all related work as specified and shown on the Drawings The BIDDING DOCUMENTS, consisting of Advertisement for Bids, Instructions to Bidders, Bid, Bid Bond, Agreement, Notice of Award form, Notice to Proceed form, Construction Performance Bond, Construction Payment Bond, Sample Certificate of Insurance form, Application for Payment form, General Conditions, Supplemental General Conditions, Change Order form, Technical Specifications, Addenda, and Drawings, may be examined at the following locations: City of Nicholasville, KY 517 N. Main Street Nicholasville, KY 40356 GRW Engineers, Inc. 801 Corporate Drive Lexington, KY 40503 The valve and piping demolition and construction shall initiate immediately and be complete within 60 days. The pump control valves, isolation valves, and emergency closure pump control panels are provided by the City of Nicholasville and will be onsite at the initiation of the contract. The remainder of the project may be completed within the contract time. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid to ensure the execution of the contract for which the bid is made. In case the bid is not accepted, the check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder, but if the bid is accepted and the bidder shall refuse or neglect to enter into a contract with the City of Nicholasville within ten (10) days after the time he has been notified of the acceptance of his bid, the said check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City of Nicholasville for the failure to do so. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after closing time scheduled for the receipt of bids. The City of Nicholasville reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any and all bids.
