The Project includes the following Work: Contract #1 - General Construction Generally consists of construction of a new duplex 2 HP sanitary pump station replacing an existing gravity lateral serving a residential apartment complex including new precast concrete wet well, electrical outbuilding, battery energy storage system, pump station control panel, new electric service, and incidental demolition, bypass pumping and restoration. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10 percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the necessary bonds if the contract is awarded to him/her. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the necessary bonds if the contract is awarded to him/her. A Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the estimated contract price, shall be required from the Successful Bidder. The Supplementary Conditions set forth requirements for the payment by the Contractor and all Subcontractors of minimum wage rates for all classes of laborers and mechanics as set forth by all applicable provisions of the NY Prevailing Wage Act, and the Bid shall be prepared accordingly. The City of Canandaigua reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all bids and to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder for the total lump sum bid price. No bidder may withdraw his or her bid within sixty (60) days after the actual opening thereof.
