The Project includes the following Work: The project consists of the removal of sludge, rags, debris, rainwater, etc. in Primary Digester #2. The contractor shall provide means and labor to achieve this. The contractor will need to perform their own testing on the sludge to determine appropriate disposal methods. After removal of digester contents, the Contractor shall also pressure wash the interior of the digester and provide means to remove all washwater as well. Sealed Bids are requested for the following Contract: Contract #1: General In accordance with Section 101.5. of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, Bidders shall submit with its bid a separate sealed list that names each subcontractor that the bidder will use to perform work on the contract, and the agreed-upon amount to be paid to each, for: (a) plumbing and gas fitting, (b) steam heating, hot water heating, ventilating and air conditioning apparatus and (c) electric wiring and standard illuminating fixtures. Project has an expected duration of 60 days. The Town of Farmington, Ontario County , New York, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bidder. It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award. Attention of the bidders is particularly directed to the requirements of the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum Wage Rates to be paid under the Contract. The Town of Farmington does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its programs and activities. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
