The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown and described on the plan drawings and within these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Spillway - The catwalk bridge crossing the spillway, and adjacent concrete substructures/walls/slabs, shall be removed, rehabilitated, and replaced, as indicated on the plan drawings. Reservoir - The south wall of the reservoir suffered washouts and loss of rip rap. The embankment will be repaired, and new rip rap installed, covered in topsoil and seeded. Debris accumulated within the reservoir will be removed and disposed of, as indicated within the plan drawings. Gate House and Sluice Gates - The inlet structure will be rehabilitated, including removal and replacement of the ladder to access the valves, pressure washing, re-sealing, and rehabilitation of the existing mechanical equipment. The overflow standpipe, sluice gate and all valves need to be repaired, painted and/or greased. Access Roads and Cleanout Area - Rebuild the access road(s) at the completion of the project work. The repair will consist of grading, geotextile and placement of an appropriate crushed stone surface. Forebay (now Pt. Peter Brook) and Access Drive - Reconstruct what used to be the forebay by excavating the stream channel and storing deposited stream materials, place new rip rap, cover, and stabilize streambed and banks; repair the stream access ramp with rip rap and gravel surfacing. Allen Springs - Repair/replace medium stone rip rap placed to armor the stream. Replace telemetry at the water intake and replace related conduit and electrical wiring installed between the gate house, forebay and the spring water intake structure. Point Peter Brook - Reestablish the southern stream banks with a heavy stone buttress made up of heavy and light stone rip rap and rock spurs. Replace heavy stone rip rap on all banks/streambed within the project limits as indicated on the plan drawings. In addition, the following mitigation measures are being proposed as part of the proposed project, the installation of additional rip rap to strengthen the berm between the forebay and the reservoir, and riprap along Peter Point Brook, and the addition of a new outlet/bypass consisting of a 9-ft x 14-ft precast concrete box culvert and associated headwalls, sump and drainage structure.
