Sealed Bids for the Water Supply Well No. 6 Rehabilitation And Upgrade. All Bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or Bid will not be received or considered by the Owner. The Bidder shall show evidence by clearly displaying its current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the Bid is delivered. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interest of the Owner will thereby be promoted. Bidding Documents may be obtained electronically in portable document format (PDF) at no cost by registering with the Issuing Office electronically. Printed copies may be obtained from the same, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of deposit of $50.00 for each set. Bidders who return full sets of the Bidding Documents in reusable condition within 10 days after receipt of Bids will receive a full refund. Additional sets for non-Bidders, Bidders who obtain more than one set of Bidding Documents, subcontractors, vendors, or dealers will be refunded as stated above less the cost of printing, reproduction, handling, and distribution. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above plus a shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. No Bidding Documents will be issued within 72 hours of the scheduled date and time of the Bid Opening. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
