Architectural/Engineering Services (RFP/RFQ), Design Engineering Services The City of Atascadero is requesting the services of a civil engineering or construction management consulting firm with experience in the management of public works capital construction projects to provide construction engineering services for the Lift Station #13 and Force Main Replacement Project. The selected firm will be responsible to provide general project construction management, testing and inspection services for the construction of a new lift station, replacement and upsizing of approximately 2 miles of sewer force main on a new alignment, and repaving of approximately one mile of roadway. The lift station portion of the project includes but is not limited to the installation of pumps, controls, alarm systems, wet-wells, wet-well linings, flow meter, and back-up power generator within a permanent easement acquired by the City at the northwest corner of the undeveloped property at 5900 Santa Cruz Road. The force main replacement includes abandonment of the existing force main alignment along El Camino Real and Del Rio Road (11,400'), and construction of a new force main to be installed below Santa Cruz Road and Traffic Way, connecting to existing gravity sewer near the intersection with Orillas Way (11,000'). Following completion of the force main, Traffic Way will be reconstructed with deep lift asphalt paving between Carizzo Road and Chico Road (5,600'). The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
