The City of Dyer invites sealed bids from qualified companies interested in providing Sidewalk services in support of the City's sidewalk maintenance efforts. The work described consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services and performing all work required to, as directed, prepare subgrade, rehabilitate the subbase, install gravel base to repair/level the sidewalk base The contractor selected will be responsible for providing ADA compliant replacement concrete sidewalks in the City of Dyer for the South Main Street sidewalk, on the western side of South Main from two points marked at the street, approximately 250 feet, located between the northern boundary of 232 South Main Street and the northern boundary of 186 South Main Street (as marked). Scope of Work with approximate square footage of sidewalk area of 1,250 square feet, and: For scope of work, the bid should include traffic control, associated vegetation matter removal, clearing, cleaning, grading, and any necessary saw cutting, subgrade preparation, base installation, concrete delivery, placement, and finishing etc. Bidders shall place their bid in a sealed envelope along with certificates of insurance. The outside of the envelope must indicate the bidder's name, license number (if required), expiration date, and that part of classification applying to the bid in accordance with TCA 62-6-119. Bids not conforming to these provisions shall not be opened. Each bidder agrees by the submission of his bid to commence work within fifteen (30) days of the issuance by the City of a Written Notice to Proceed and to fully complete the work within forty-five (60) calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Installation shall meet TDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the date of the opening thereof. The work shall have a one-year warranty.
