Upgrades and improvements to Philippe-Villeneuve park facilities of the City. The scope of the project includes construction of a public gathering place in connection with the project of development of an outdoor stage in the Park. The scope of work includes the construction of a versatile, friendly and distinctive public space that can host cultural events. The project will integrate landscaping, lighting, street furniture, drinking fountains, shaded areas and a large multipurpose space allowing the reception of spectators or gatherings. The scope of work also includes the renovation of structures lacated on the site and construction of water jets (fun fountain) that may also be enhanced by ambient lighting and decorations. TIMELINE: The owner has awarded an landscape architectural and engineering professional consultant for the project design and construction work monitoring. Preliminary planning is underway. Working drawings are expected to begin in spring 2024. Tender for the general contractor is slated for late spring 2024. Note. The project will be developped in connection with the project followed in the report under CRM ID name Development of an Outdoor Stage at Parc Philippe-Villeneuve.
