AHFC is seeking quotes to remove and replace balancing and zone valve for the Birch Park II located at 1516 Gillam Way Fairbanks, AK 99701 Project Site: Fairbanks, AK A. Alaska Housing Finance Corporations is seeking bids for the Birch Park 2 Zone valve and balancing valve R&R. Project is located at 1516 Gillam Way Fairbanks, AK 99701. a. Base bid contractor to replace Unit balancing valves. Contractor to balance system to manufacturer recommended set points, and building need. i. If Cartridge style used cartridges must be available through a local supplier and contractor to supply 6 replacement cartridges per flow rate used. b. Additive alternate 1, contractor to Remove and replace unit zone valves with taco Sentry Zone Valve. Replace through industry standard method as approved by AHFC. B. Site consists of 5 buildings labeled A - E with 3 boiler rooms each having 2 boilers located in Buildings A, C, and D. C. Site has 28 units consisting of; a. 24 two story apartments with 2 zones, each zone having a single balancing valve. b. 4 units with 1 zone valve with each zone having 2 balancing valves. c. Total of 52 zone valves. And 56 Balancing valves. d. Contractor to field verify. D. Contractor to provide detailed preventative maintenance plan for any newly installed equipment. E. Contractor to supply all materials required to complete scope of work, and properly dispose of any excess or unusable materials. F. All materials being used by contractor should have specifications supplied at bid, as well as a full detailed scope/work plan. G. Additional work may be added to the contract via the RFP bid change order process as is determined necessary for successful installation and function of work under base bid and additive alternate, as awarded. Anticipated Period of Performance or Completion Date: The completion date for this project is on or before June 15, 2024.
